Angel Eyewear Sunglasses Review & Giveaway

Angel Eyewear recently released the special edition Grace “Pink Hope” styles to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc (NBCF) in its mission to spread knowledge and foster hope in the fight against breast cancer.

Angel Eyewear has always supported courageous women and with their special edition Grace “Pink Hope” sunglasses, they’re looking forward to helping the NBCF inspire the courage needed to win the battle to stop breast cancer through funding free mammograms and supporting research programs.

The Grace “Pink Hope” is available in both a white and a black frame.  Each model features pink ribbons on the inside of the arms, special edition pink Angel “A” logos on the temple pieces and small ribbon accents on the very ends of each arm.  Eight base lenses and 100 percent UV protection provide both style and protection when out in the sun.

Angel Eyewear sent me the Grace “Pink Hope” in both white and black frames. They have a lightweight, flexible nylon frame, 3 barrel stop hinges and provide 100% UV protection. I love Angel eyewear because their glasses are incredibly comfortable. They don’t cause headaches like some sunglasses with a heavier weight tend to do. And there must be something special about their 3 barrel hinges because these are the only sunglasses I’ve ever worn that haven’t gotten tangled in my long hair. The lenses on the Grace Pink Hope have a rounded square shape to them giving them a extra touch of glamour. They are absolutely stunning!

The Grace “Pink Hope” white model is $55 and the black model, which comes with polarized lenses, retails for $75.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of all Grace “Pink Hope” sunglasses will go to the NBCF.

My Experience With The Opal Sonic Infusion

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Opal! I was impressed from the moment I laid eyes on it. The Opal has a small and slim design which is great for carrying along in your purse or luggage. Another great benefit to the slim design is the fact that you can leave it on your counter without worrying about it taking up too much space.

The majority of my time working is done in the evenings through early morning. On average, I get just 3 hours of sleep each night and my eyes show it. I have been using the Opal for several weeks now. I have noticed is less puffiness and lighter, brighter eyes. The dark circles around my eyes have lightened. I no longer look tired all of the time. Instead, I look refreshed and youthful. The Opal is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin.

The Opal Sonic Infusion System I received came with two Anti-Aging Serum Dispenser Caps. Each cap should last 90 days when used for one minute, twice a day. It’s possible I used too much (or my husband was sneaking a few uses in) but one cap lasted me just 30 days. This system works great and provides real results, but it will cost you. #CGG: Epsom Salt Review & Giveaway:

As a mom, the one product I can always trust and rely on are Epsom Salts. Epsom Salt has been used for centuries to cure common ailments. As a child, I remember my mom using Epsom Salt to remove splinters, and sooth sprains and bruises. Epsom salts have amazing health benefits and may even help prevent heart disease, cancer, blood pressure, kidney stones, improve energy and improve your overall quality of sleep. In addition to its amazing health benefits, Epsom salt can also be used for Christmas craft projects such as decorating candles and frosting windows. Here are my favorite uses for Epsom Salt:

Epsom Salt For Beauty
Epsom Salt works wonderfully at exfoliating the skin. It helps to improve skins texture and will leave your skin feeling silky soft and smooth.

Exfoliate Dead Skin - In the shower or bath, mix a handful of Epsom Salt with a tablespoon of your favorite oil. Examples include olive oil or baby oil but my favorite is coconut oil.  Gently rub all over your wet skin to exfoliate and soften. Rinse thoroughly.

Alternatively, if you do not have oil on hand, you can use petroleum jelly instead. You will mix 2 cups of Epsom Salt with 1/4 cup of petroleum jelly and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Use the mixture to gently scrub away dry skin patches.

Hair Volumizer - Combine equal parts of deep conditioner and Epsom Salt and warm in a pan. Work the warm mixture through your hair and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

Remove Excess Oil From Hair - Epsom Salt soaks up excess oil from hair. Mix 9 tablespoons of Epsom salt with 1/2 cup of shampoo. Apply one tablespoon of the liquid to your hair when it is dry; rinse with cold water. Pour lemon juice or organic apple cider vinegar through the hair, leave on for 5-10 minutes, and then rinse.

Spa Treatment - After showering, massage handfuls of Epsom Salt over wet skin to exfoliate the body. It's the same treatment many upscale spas use, without the upscale price!

Facial - Mix 1/2 TSP of Epsom Salt into your favorite cleansing cream for a deep-pore cleansing. If you are unsure of what type of cleanser to use, Cetaphil is very gentle and works great on all skin types, especially sensitive skin. Massage on skin. Rinse with cool water. Pat dry.

Epsom Salt For Health
Magnesium (the key component of Epsom Salt) performs more functions in more systems of the human body than virtually any other mineral, including regulating the activity of more than 325 enzymes! Magnesium Sulfate helps to reduce inflammation and relieve pain. It forms essential joint proteins to keep your joints healthy. It also flushes toxins and improves the absorption of nutrients.

Athlete’s Foot - Soak feet in an Epsom salt bath to help relieve the symptoms of Athlete’s Foot.

Fibromyalgia - Add 2 - 4 cups of Epsom Salt in a warm bath to soothe aching muscles.

Stop Itching Caused By Bug Bites & Poison Ivy – Make a compress by soaking a washcloth in cold water that has been mixed with 2tbsp/cup Epsom Salt.

Epsom Salts can also be used to make beautiful holiday candles. I haven’t tried this yet, but I will definitely  be making my own holiday candles this year. These look expensive, but they are affordable on nearly every budget. Learn how to make Frosty Salted Pillar Candles.

Vemayca Cosmetic Bag Review

The one problem nearly every woman faces is keeping her cosmetic bags clean. From my experience, they are all difficult to clean no matter what size or material they’re made from. Whether you spend $10 on a Wal-Mart makeup bag or $100 on a Nordstrom cosmetic bag, it’s going to end up covered in makeup residue in just a matter of weeks, possibly even days. When you attempt to clean your bag, the problem only seems to get worst. Your eyeliner smears into the material and your powder does a wonderful job of setting the stain for you!

Vemayca bags feature a large center compartment as well as two side pockets for complete organization.

 

I have been using my Vemayca Bag everyday and I absolutely love it! It seems to stay much cleaner than my other makeup bags and when my makeup does spill or leak, it only takes a few seconds to wipe clean. I love that the bottom is flat so my bag stands upright. This is a wonderful feature, especially if you apply your makeup on the go. There is nothing worst then trying to find your favorite eye shadow, only to have all of your other cosmetics spill out.

The only problem I can see with the Vemayca Bag is the size. The size is one of my favorite features. I carry large bags and like to have most of my makeup with me. However, I can see how the size could be a problem with women who carry smaller purses. Yet, the Vemayca bag is so spacious that it could replace your purse all together. 

The bag itself is velvety soft and seems to repel liquid, which is wonderful when you have kids! The outer pockets are lined with silver satin which helps make your items more visible. The zipper pulls are circular which makes them easy to open or even attach your keeps or a work badge to. The Vemayca Cosmetic Bag is lightweight which makes it the perfect bag to carry along with you anywhere you may go. The possibilities are endless with Vemayca!

When I opened the jar of Green Apple Peel, my senses were immediately awakened by the delightful apple scent. The apple scent is light and fresh as if someone puréed ripe apples and added them to the Juice Beauty jar. The fragrance smells delicious enough to eat! It resembles actual fruit rather than overpowering added fragrances that I experience with other products.

Fortunately, I was able to control my urge to digest my new facial peel and proceeded with the application. The instructions suggest applying a generous layer to a cleansed face and neck for up to 10 minutes before rinsing. The peel glides on smoothly and is non-greasy. This peel is absorbed by the skin. It’s not a peel in which you apply and literally peel off. It was easy to apply and just as easy to remove.

After the first use, I noticed how incredibly soft and smooth my skin felt. After several uses, I have already began to notice an improvement in my skin’s texture. My face doesn’t look or feel as dry as it did prior to using this wonderful treatment. My skin definitely feels hydrated and nourished.

I found the Green Apple Peel Sensitive to be very gentle on my skin. I didn’t experience any redness or tingling which is a great benefit since I usually have a hard time finding products that are truly “sensitive”. In the summer time, my face tends to break out more. I haven’t had a breakout since using my peel, and my pores have significantly reduced in size!

Once I run out of my sample size, I am definitely buying the full size peel. I am excited to see the improvements in my skin over continuous use. If you suffer from Keratosis Pilaris, or KP, you may want to give the Green Apple Peel Sensitive a try. While I haven’t used this to treat my KP, I have read reviews suggesting it has helped reduce the bumps caused by KP. Once I have my full size jar, I will put it to the “KP test” and give an updated review.

Each lip balm comes in a ,07 oz tube, small enough to carry in your purse and even your pockets! All of them contain sunscreen and natural tinted color.

I received the Shell Pink Lip Balm and Natural Honesty Lip Balms. At first glance, I thought I would hate the Natural Honesty balm. The color on the package looked like a tan or cool brown shade. I applied it to my lips and very pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t brown at all- in fact it matched my natural lip color perfectly. It actually made my lips look fuller, and I loved how they still looked natural. The Shell Pink is a beautiful light pink shade with a hint of shimmer. Both were easy to apply and lightweight. These are the perfect lip balms for summer time.

 The next product I tried was the Sheer Lip Gloss. These glosses are available in 3 beautiful summer shades – Coral Charm, Natural Honesty and Shell Pink. The Natural Honesty is the same shade as the Lip Balm, only it leaves a glossy finish. The Shell Pink is a beautiful shimmery pink. Normally, when I hear coral, I think orange. Most coral colors have an orange hint to them. This is not orange at all. This gloss looks a lot darker from the tube then it actually is. I love this shade and am still trying to decide which one I like the most. This is a very natural shade, and I can only best describe it as a pinkish-nude color. It looks great on me and I am sure this color would compliment nearly every skin tone. All of these glosses are 100% natural and contain SPF 15. I am so ecstatic to have been given the opportunity to try the Soft Lips Lip Glosses. I normally pay $20.00 for my designer gloss, which does not even contain sunscreen. Soft Lips Pure Gloss retails for just $4.99! Soft Lips Glosses are non-sticky and last for hours. I am very impressed and would definitely recommend these.

The last two products I received are a must have for anyone in need of relief from dry, cracked lips. The first is 100% Natural Lip Butter. The Lip Butter also contains SPF 15 and unlike the other products I tried, this is not tinted. This is non-greasy and glides on just as you would imaging butter would. This is the perfect lip moisturizer for anyone looking for lip protection without adding color. There is no scent, no color and my lips feel better than they have in years!

The second of the two, is the Soft Lips Lip Polish. Just as you would exfoliate your body to remove dead skin, the Lip Polish contains sugar crystals to remove dry, flaky skin from your lips. The lip polish suggests you rinse with water after massaging, but water is not absolutely necessary. I used a damp washcloth to wipe clean, revealing smooth, soft, healthy-looking lips. The crystals in this polish are microscopic and though much gentler than a body scrub, they work effectively at removing loose, dead skin. This fragrance free polish is non-greasy, and thick so it will not leave a runny mess. The best part, besides the cheap $5.99 price tag is that it tastes great, just like sugar and it helps to heal your lips, leaving them incredibly moisturized.

Yu-Be Review

Yu-Be is a Glycerin-based moisturizing cream developed by the Japanese pharmacist, Yoshikiyo Nowatari . Yu-Be is enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Camphor. and because of the high amount of Glycerin, Yu-Be is known for it’s incredible absorbency.  Yu-Be is safe and effective for men, women, children and even infants! I am always on the market for new beauty and skincare products. I was especially grateful to discover Yu-Be. You see, I suffer from a common skin condition know as Keratosis Pilaris. Moisturizing Cream

This multi-purpose moisturizing cream can be used to help provide relief for a number of skin conditions such as: painful split cuticles, tough calluses, hard cracked heels, burns and severely dry skin. In addition Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream also reduces symptoms associated with rashes, Eczema, inflammation, itching and Dermatitis. This may be applied directly to the skin and/or lips. There is a light camphor fragrance (which I love! ) but the fragrance does fade away quickly. Over the past several months, I have developed a rough skin patch on my elbow. I have tried several skin creams and moisturizers but nothing has helped. After using Yu-Be for just over one week, the dry skin patch has improved significantly. My rough elbows have become much softer and the rough patch is nearly gone!  The Moisturizing Skin Cream is non-greasy and noticeably locks in moisture. Prior to using this cream, I had flaky skin. As soon as I apply the moisturizer, the flakes are gone, and my elbows are instantly relieved! The moisturizing cream comes in a 1.25oz tube, which is the perfect size to toss in your handbag and carry with you.

Body Lotion

Yu-Be Moisturizing Body Lotion is made using the same #1 selling Japanese glycerin formula. Similar to the moisturizing cream, the body lotion has the same camphor scent, yet it has  a slightly lighter texture. The Moisturizing Body Lotion is designed to provide continuous hydration and protection for troublesome dry skin. The formula is gentle enough to use on your face and lips. I have been using this product religiously on my dry legs and arms. I was very impressed at how quickly this lotion was absorbed and at how soft and hydrated my skin feels.  Yu-Be Moisturizing Body Lotion comes in a 10.25oz bottle with a convenient pump. This is a great product to provide your skin with year round moisture and hydration.

Foaming Skin Polish

Foaming Skin Polish is made from fine grains of rice bran and combined with bamboo and gentle cleaning agents to create a luxurious foaming scrub. Like the other products from Yu-Be, this may also be used on the face. Ginger root and ginseng work together to tone and balance the skin, while green tea, geranium oil and camphor provide a soothing, cool, refreshing feeling.  The texture is gritty and feels great when massaging against your skin. I would best describe YuBe Skin Polish as a gentle exfoliator. I have been using my scrub all over my body and I am thrilled to say goodbye to my alligator skin. I highly recommend this product to anyone living with extremely dry skin.

Lip Therapy

Lip Therapy soothes, moisturizes and protects dry, painful, chapped lips. This all-natural lip balm has no artificial colors, fragrances, oils or petroleum. I suffer from dry chapped lips year round. Products I have used in the past seem to irritate my lips, making them more dry. Yu-Be Lip Therapy glides on smoothly and stays on for hours, even through drinking and eating. There is a light camphor scent which fades within just seconds. I love that this is non-sticky. There is nothing worst than applying a lip balm only to have your hair glued to your lips. My lips feel soft and kissable. I will definitely be buying more of this to keep on hand!

One of my favorite qualities of Goblet Goop is the fact that it glides on ever so smoothly without leaving a greasy feeling. I have been using Goblet Goop for two weeks now. My experience thus far has been wonderful. My skin definitely feels tighter and has become incredibly smooth.

During my pregnancy, I gained a significant amount of weight. I also had a condition that restricted me to bed rest. For 4 months, I was unable to reach my feet and sadly, it shows. My son is a toddler now and I have yet to restore my feet back to the beautiful condition they were in, prior to pregnancy.

I was skeptical when trying Curél Foot Cream. The bottle reads “ smoothes and softens dry,cracked skin in just two nights”.  I have tried other products and waited weeks for results. I applied my Deep-Penetrating foot cream before bed and I was shocked to find noticeably softer skin when I woke in the morning.  The fragrance is light and airy and the lotion is thick and creamy. It felt like satin massaging against my skin and I love how soft my heels and feet have become. There was no greasy feeling, just touchable soft skin!

Also from Curél’s Targeted Therapy Line is the Hand and Cuticle Cream. This cream provides immediate healing relief to dry hands. The main ingredients include soothing soy milk, softening monoï oil, and naturally healing vitamin E. Rough Cuticles are softened with just one use and hands stay soft and smooth – even through several hand washings! The Hand and Cuticle cream is also available in 3.5oz, however this bottle is taller and narrower then the foot cream. Still, it is just as great for home or travel and would fit in nearly every size purse. I love that this hand cream is fast-absorbing. I did notice a greasy feeling when I first applied the lotion, but once absorbed, my skin was left feeling incredibly soft.

Both products worked wonders on my extremely dry skin. I highly recommended both products from the Curél Targeted Therapy line.

Growing up, I never truly understood the importance of a daily skincare regimen. I was under the impression that women, including myself, did not need anything other than sunscreen until they began to show signs of aging. Boy, was I wrong! I am in my mid twenties, though most would say I look older. Looking older is definitely not something any woman would wish for herself. The second product I received was the CosMedix Purity Balance Exfoliating Prep. Purity Balance’s natural cleansing and clarifying ingredients remove impurities from the skin and encourage healthy sebaceous activity. Combining cleansing tea tree oil with two high powered exfoliants—lactic acid and salicylic acid—this nourishing and stimulating tonic soothes, cools and revitalizes oily, breakout-prone and sun-damaged skin.


Applying Purity Balance is just as easy as the Opti Crystal. To use- Dispense a small amount into clean hands and pat onto face, avoiding the eye area. The Purity Balance does have a light alcohol scent if you inhale directly from the bottle but once applied to your skin, the fragrance is unnoticeable.

Purity Balance is available in a 3.3oz bottle. The spray pump sprays evenly, allowing for an easy application. My skin was left with a cool and refreshed feeling. CosMedix suggests using this following the use of Benefit Clean or Purity Clean. I didn’t have either, so I used my regular facial bar soap. I was very impressed at how well Purity Balance removed pore-clogging excess oils from my face. I used a cotton ball to help demonstrate how well this really works:



I couldn’t believe how much dirt and oil I was able to remove with Purity Balance even after washing my face! This product would be great for men and women who battle with excess oil and/or large pores. This product may increase sensitive to sunlight, so it is advised to wear sunscreen along with Purity Balance.
