This safe and effective device includes two interchangeable heads that provide 414 nanometers(nm) of blue and 660nm of red Natural Spectrum light. I have been using my Verilux ClearWave Soothing Skin System for one month now and the only thing I can say, is I wish I would have found this sooner! I have had an acne scar for several months. I have tried both prescription acne creams and over the counter topical medication and nothing has helped. I was certain I would live with that ugly scar forever. That is, until I tried the Clear Wave System. I was skeptical at first because I had used the ClearWave for several days without any noticeable change. After a weeks time, I woke up one morning and to my surprise, my acne blemish was gone!  I was concerned about the possibility of burning, redness and irritation. There is no burning, I did not even experience a warming sensation like I initially thought.
