Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies Review and Giveaway

Fiber-GummiesWe all need fiber in our diets and children are no exception. Foods rich in fiber are filling,  therefore high fiber foods discourage overeating. Fiber also helps to pass food through the digestive system and may protect against stomach and colon cancer as well as prevent constipation. Fiber also helps to lower LDL cholesterol, or in a child’s sake, help prevent high cholesterol as well as preventing diabetes and heart disease.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends 19 grams of fiber for  2-3 year olds, 25 grams of fiber for 4-8 year olds and 26-31grams for 9-11 year olds.  As parents, we understand the importance of a high fiber diet, but you won’t hear your child begging for more fiber. Your child may eat fiber-rich foods, but he or she may not be consuming enough fiber. I know my son loves beans, but it can still be difficult to meet the daily recommended intake.

Pedia- Lax Fiber Gummies are a great-tasting way to supplement your child’s daily fiber intake when fruits and veggies aren’t enough. Your child can get the same fiber in just 3 gummies as they would in 1/2 cup of broccoli. Besides being packed full of fiber, these gummies are gluten-free, sugar-free, calorie-free and are made with all natural fruit flavors.

kids - fiber

These fiber gummies are kid-friendly penguin-shaped and easy to chew. I had no problems getting my two-year old to take Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies. In fact, he loved them so much he kept asking for more. Of course, mom had to try one as well. They taste just like fruit gummies- there is no medicine taste and no after taste. They did a wonderful job of regulating my sons bowel movements without making them runny. In addition, I feel confident giving Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies to my son because they are not medicine, not a laxative, just wholesome, healthy fiber. PediaLax Fiber Gummies are dentist approved and now, mom approved!

Cost

$7.99 for a 60 count bottle.

Where to Buy

Available in mass market retailers, drug stores and supermarkets nationwide. Find a local retail store.

Say Goodbye to Gas, Pressure and Bloating – CharcoCaps Review and Giveaway (Ended)

Did you know that the average person “passes gas” around 14 times each and every day? Summer is here and the weekend barbecues have already begun. Some of the highest gas-producing foods such as baked beans, lentils, fried foods, fatty foods, green peppers, corn will be on the buffet. Instead of turning down your favorite foods, beat the pressure, bloating and gas by taking a natural, anti-gas capsule known as CharcoCaps.

CHARCOCAPSCharcoCaps are a Homeopathic Anti-gas formula designed to help provide gas relief, while easing symptoms of discomfort, pressure and bloating.

I love the ease and convenience of CharcoCaps. They are available over the counter, so there is no need to pay expensive co-pays to see a doctor. CharcoCaps provide fast, natural relief of intestinal gas pain, pressure, cramping and bloating. Without totally grossing you out, I will say that last week my husband was especially gassy. He was complaining of cramps so I gave him two CharcoCaps. Within just several minutes, his cramps were gone and he was no longer running me out of the room. This is definitely a great product that I keep in my purse to avoid those embarrassing moments.

Active Ingredients

The active ingredients in CharcoCaps Homeopathic AntiGas Formula include carbo vegetablis for abdominal stress and intestinal gas; lycopodium clavatum for abdominal pain, bloated abdomen and trapped gas; cinchora officinalis for stomach cramps, bloated abdomen and flatulence

Cost

$6.99 for a thirty-six count package (includes three blister packs, each containing twelve easy to swallow capsules).

Where to Buy

Available in mass market retailers, drug stores and supermarkets nationwide.

Relieve Allergies With Children's Claritin Grape Chewables

I have a two-year old who suffers from allergies and has since before he even turned a year old. He displayed all of the common physical symptoms: runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.

In the past, his symptoms were mild. I didn't feel the need to medicate him, if it was not absolutely necessary. I suffer from mild allergies as well. We live in Texas and my allergies have never really seemed to bother me too much. Well, this year, the pollen count is especially high. My allergies have been out of control as well as my sons. His nose has been especially runny and his eyes are constantly watering. I knew he needed allergy medicine.

I tried giving him a few different store brand allergy medications. None of them seemed to help him in the least bit. Luckily, Claritin came to our rescue! Did you know Claritin is not just for adults? I had no idea Claritin made a product for kids. In fact, they have 4 different types of child allergy products: Claritin 12-Hour RediTabs Tablets for Kids, Children's Claritin Grape Chewables, Children's Claritin Grape Flavored Syrup, and Claritin RediTabs for Kids 24-Hour.

We tried the Children's Claritin Grape Chewables. When I popped the tablet out of the blister pack, I immediately noticed the great grape scent. I gave one to my son and from the shouts for "more medicine", I imagine they taste even better then they smell!  I wasn't impressed at the end of the first day. My son's allergies hadn't alleviated any. However, after taking the Children's Claritin Grape Chewables for three days, I noticed I wasn't wiping near as many runny noses and his eyes hadn't watered at all.

Product Details:
  • Should Only Be Taken By Children Ages 2 Years and Older.
  • Non-Drowsy
  • Once a Day Chewable Tablet
  • Effective For Indoor & Outdoor Allergies
  • Easy To Chew
  • Great Grape Taste
  • Temporarily Relieves Symptoms Caused by Hay Fever Or Other Upper Respiratory Allergies

Children's Claritin Chewables are available wherever over-the-counter products are sold, without a prescription.

    Mirena Contraceptive

I haven't shared my opinions regarding medications in the past. The reason being is because every person is different and I believe medications don't have the same effect on everyone. What I find works for me may be the least appropriate option for you. With that being said, I would like to share facts and opinions of Mirena with you. No birth-control is right for everyone, but if you think Mireana may be right for you, please consult with your physician.

    What is Mirena?
The Facts: Mirena is an intrauterine contraceptive that delivers small amounts of hormone directly to the uterus. Made of soft, flexible plastic, it is put in place by your health care provider during an office visit. Mirena is birth control that lasts as long as you want, for up to 5 years. Mirena works continuously, without a pill, without a daily hassle. Once Mirena is properly placed, all you have to do is check the threads once a month. Your health care provider can show you how. If you have trouble finding the threads, be sure to use a backup form of birth control and call your health care provider.
image mirena birth controlWhat Mirena Does?
The Facts: Mirena is over 99% effective and is one of the most effective forms of birth control. Mirena prevents pregnancy for as long as you want, up to 5 years. If you plan to become pregnant, your physician can remove Mirena for you and you & you can try to become pregnant immediately.

    When Mirena should be placed:
Mirena should be placed within 7 days of the start of your period.

Mirena Bay Be Right For You
Mirena offers a flexible option if you have had at least one child and:
You had a baby and want to explore your birth control options.
You want to have more children*
You are unsure if you want more children*
You are happy with your family size the way it is
You want birth control without a daily routine

    My Review
I had never heard of Mirena until my son was born. During one of my post-op visits my physician suggested Mirena for me. At first I was skeptical. The biggest concern for me was whether or not it actually worked. I had a newborn and was not ready for another. After viewing Mirena's Website, and discussing it further with my doctor, I felt at easy with my worries and scheduled an appointment to have Mirena inserted.

Besides preventing pregnancy, the cost is what really caught my attention. Most Insurances will cover Mirena, and mine does. I only had to pay my $30.oo deductible whereas when I was on the pill I was paying $270 each year. Over a 5 year period, that is a savings of $1,200.00!

Inserting Mirena is "a piece of cake". You prepare for Mirana just as you would for your Pap Smear. It's not at all painful. In fact, my doctor was done before I even knew she had inserted it. The first few days were a little uncomfortable because I could still feel the thread. This is totally normal. After a few days, the threads attach to your lining and I didn't even know it was there.

I absolutely hated trying to remember to take a pill every day at the same time. I hated the costs associated with monthly prescriptions and doctor's visits. I've looked into Nuva Ring, but you have to replace that each month, which more hassle then I'm willing to accept. Mireana is definitely a great birth-contol. I don't know how I managed without it all of these years. If you think Mirena might be right for you or are interested in learning more, please check out their official website.

Any & All information found posted about Mirena is based from my personal experience and should be used for informational purposes. I am not a medical physician and information provided by me is not meant to replace medical advice, I am basing my review on my experience with Mirena. This was not purchased for the purpose of a review.
