I have very long, thick and coarse hair. I have a hard time finding products to work well with my hair type. These are by far the best rollers I have ever used!  The velvet flocked rollers easily “grabbed” onto my hair. For me, it was necessary to use both the metal pins and butterfly clips. My hair stayed in place while setting. I removed the rollers after 15 minutes and was left with beautiful, soft curls. I brushed them out to produce sexy, natural looking waves. When I use my BaByliss rollers, my hairstyle stays in place throughout the day.

The average person loses between 40 and 120 strands a day! I have very long and thick hair and I would guess at least half of those hair strands lost are tangled in my brush. Wen Cleansing Conditioner

Wen Cleansing Conditioner is a Conditioner that both cleanses and conditions your hair, taking the place of shampoo. Wen Cleaning Conditioner isn't just your average conditioner.It's unique because it does not contain detergents, Sodium Laurel Sulfate, or other harsh chemicals that can typically be found in ordinary shampoos. Wen is designed so that it won't strip your hair of it's natural oils.

Instructions: Rinse hair thoroughly and apply 16-24 pumps to your palms and rub together. ( You will need to use more for longer/thicker hair). You will need to use a lot of product because Wen does not lather. Next, apply to your scalp and massage vigorously. Add a splash of water to create a foamy effect. Massage vigorously for 1-3 minutes, comb through hair, and leave on at least 3-5 minutes.Comb through and rinse hair thoroughly. You can also apply a dime size amount as a leave-in conditioner.

My Review: When I first heard of Wen Cleansing Conditioner, I wasn't really sure what to think. Traditionally, everyone is taught to shampoo their hair and then condition if needed. My hair is very long- past mid back. It is also a huge frizzy mess curly, coarse and very thick. After reading on the bottle that more then 16-24 pumps is needed for long/thick/coarse hair, I decided to look online to find out just how much more I would be needing. "Very long hair or very thick/coarse hair: Use 32-40 pumps" *Jaw dropping* Wen is very thick, so I thought my hair would turn out oily and weighed down. Before I get to the end results, I want to mention the great fragrance Sweet Almond Mint Wen has. I wasn't able to detect the almond scent but I did notice ( and love) the mint scent. It reminds me of eucalyptus even though the ingredients show menthol is used. It's not too strong, and it was very relaxing. Mint lovers will love this! Back to the 32-40 pumps... This sounds like a lot, and it is. My entire hand was filled with Wen Cleansing Conditioner. I applied all 40 recommended pumps and followed the instructions.Besides noticing the relaxing mint aroma, I noticed a great tingling feeling. After washing and rinsing, my scalp felt incredibly clean and soft. I was pleasantly surprised that after using 40 pumps,Wen left my hair feeling so soft without weighing it down .

My Thoughts: I think Wen would be great for women with short/medium hair. But for women with long/thick/coarse hair, 40 pumps is a lot and takes up about 1/3 of the product. For women with a similar hair type as mine, I would recommend Wen as a leave-in treatment vs. an everyday conditioner. Because Wen did leave my hair so soft, I plan to use it as a leave in conditioner, which is just a dime size.

I will admit, I was skeptical at first but it must because I didn't notice the oiliness anymore. This product is great for all women. I honestly don't know how I survived without it for so long. Hana Professional Flat Iron by Misikko

I've been coloring my hair since I was 15 years old. I also have very thick and coarse hair. It used to be naturally curly, but over the years it has changed to curly underneath, and a combination of curly and wavy throughout the rest of my head. Since I can't achieve the same texture or look of curls/waves all over, I blow-dry and straighten my hair daily. Ten years of coloring, blow-drying and straightening has definitely had a damaging impact on my hair. I recently received the Hana Professional Flat Iron 1". After using the Hana Professional flat-iron, my hair felt incredibly soft and was so shiny. I immediately noticed the fact that my hair felt less damaged then it does with other flat-irons. Using both the Hana Flat Iron and Shine Shield, I noticed my slit ends weren't as visible as before.

The Hana Professional Flat- Iron came packaged inside a matching pink travel case which was sitting in a black tin. If you have read my previous posts, you know I love products that are reusable. Since I am using my Hana Flat-Iron everyday, it sits on my counter instead of the tin. But the tin is the perfect size to hold all of my hair accessories! Misikko also sent me Shine Shield, which is a thermal serum which can be used to protect your hair from the heat and can be used as a leave in conditioner. I love that is made my hair smell great and was non-greasy like similar products are.

I decided to put this flat iron to the test! Here are the results:

Heat Test - I plugged it in, turned it on and placed my hand on the plate. Most flat-irons take forever, so I wanted to find out if the Hana Flat-Iron would really heat up. In just a matter of seconds the plates were hot and ready to use. The heat settings can be changed from 140-450°F to compliment your hair type.

Burn Test - I have had several flat- irons in the past that have left burn marks on my bathroom counter. I set the Hana Professional down for 10 minutes, and when I picked it up, my counter was burn-free. This flat-iron also comes with a heat proof silicone mat to be extra careful or to use if you straighten your hair on the floor like many girls I know.

Results Test - I am truly amazed at the results Misikko's Flat Iron delivered. Not only did it straighten my hair, it took 1 hour less then it normally does! See for yourself:

I have long thick hair. It's naturally curly although I straighten it almost daily. I am scared to death to cut it therefore, it is always down and looks so plain. I'm always looking for cute hair accessories to help me look more put together and less "plain Jane".

I was very fortunate to receive the Gold Stripe Head Band from Coveryourhair.com Their headbands are very cute and they have such a wide variety. They are great for any occasion and do a great job of keeping little pieces of hair out of your face. I love the fact that they stretch to fit any head. I wore mine while cleaning house and it stayed in place the entire time.

I am very insecure about my ears, so I always keep my hair down so that it covers them. Unfortunately, I was unable to feel comfortable wearing this headband because it tied all of my hair back. Paul Mitchell "The Shine"

I discovered this product while at the salon. My stylist used this on me. Immediately, I noticed the amazing fragrance. I had never smelt a styling product that smelt as good as this. Words cannot even begin to describe the intoxicating aroma.

So what is The Shine? The Shine is part of the Soft Style line by Paul Mitchell. It is a spray on polish or finishing spray.

I was sold on this by the scent alone but I was curious as to what else it could do. It adds an incredible amount of shine without looking oily. It makes your hair incredibly, touchably soft. It doesn't weigh your hair down like many other products do and it adds an amazing silky texture. And did I mention it will make your hair smell great?!

This product retails between $12-$15. In this case, a little goes a long way. You should only need 1-2 spritzes otherwise your hair will look oily. It is well worth every penny.

Clairol Nice 'N Easy Color Seal

If you're a woman, chances are you've probably colored your hair at home at least once in your lifetime. The best part about using a home coloring kit is the conditioner included in the kit. It's never much, but it always makes your hair feel incredibly silky, shiny, soft and hard to resist. So when I saw Clairol's Nice 'N Easy Color Seal Weekly Conditioner, I had to have it. I paid around $3.00 for a 1.26oz. It's very small but larger then the conditioners in the home coloring kits.

I have long, thick hair and I usually go through a large bottle in 2 weeks. I wasn't expecting this to last long, but I was expecting it to go a long way. I guess I was hoping for the same results as the conditioners in the home coloring kits, especially since Clairol is a well known brand. I really wanted to love this product. To say the least, I was very disappointed. It doesn't have a nice fragrance. Instead, it smells just like a non-ammonia color. It didn't leave my hair feeling soft or shiny. I actually had more tangles then I normally would & it weighed my hair down so much. I have to say, this is probably the worst $3.00 I have ever spent. I would not recommended this product to my worst enemy.
