Wonder Hanger (As Seen On T.v)

Image Wonder HangerWhen I first saw the Wonder Hanger advertised on television, I knew I had to have one. I hate the idea of ordering "As seen on tv" items online and I couldn't find them in stores. Recently, I discovered Bed Bath & Beyond sells many "as seen on tv" items and they just so happened to carry the Wonder Hanger. If by chance you haven't heard of Wonder Hanger, it is a plastic like hanger that is supposed to triple your closet space. The wonder hanger contains two hooks that you hang over your closed rod. There are 5 slots for you to place your wooden, plastic or metal hangers in. You unhook one end, dropping it to a vertical position.

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Metal hangers fit great. Plastic works okay too but my wooden hangers would not fit through the opening of the slot. If you place your hangers in the slots but don't unhook one end of the Wonder Hanger, you are actually taking up more space. When you do unhook one end, the clothes seem to bulk up. You aren't able to place any type of hanger or wonder hanger next to it because of the bulk. If you do, your clothes look like the are hanging sideways.

Cost: $9.99
What Size is it?: Pack of 8
Where To Buy?: Online, Bed Bath & Beyond
What did you like about this product?:This product would be good for using in a spare closet hanging clothes for storage.
Would You Recommend: No, the Wonder Hanger is not practical for everyday use.

Pre-Brush Whitening Rinse by Equate (Walmart)

image white teethI intentionally set out to buy regular mouthwash. Once I found myself in the oral care isle, my eyes were drawn to all of the whitening products. Whitening products can be very expensive, especially when it's not a necessity. I was most interested in Listerine Whitening Rinse, Colgate Whitening Rinse and Equate Whitening Rinse. Equate (WalMart) sold around $8.00 cheaper then the others. Being part of a family with only one person working made this a no-brainer for me. Without hesitation, I tossed the Equate Whitening Rinse in my basket.

Cost: Around $4.00

What Size is it?: 32oz

How to use: Rinse for 60 seconds before brushing.

Where To Buy?: Wal*Mart (not sold online)

What did you like about this product?: I like the fact that the ingredients are identical to the competitors. It gives my mouth a fresh clean feeling. The whitening effects are not immediate but I definitely notice them whiter after several weeks of use. And best of all, it is very affordable.

Is there anything you didn't like?: No, it is everything I expected.

Would You Recommend: Yes, I would. Especially considering Wal*Mart guarantees your satisfaction or they will issue a full refund.

Bounce Dryer Bar

image bounce dryer barI have to admit that I was skeptical when I first heard of the Bounce Dryer Bar and what it could do. I assumed it would leave grease spots on my clothing and I doubted it could prevent static or soften my clothes.

While out shopping, I compared the Dryer Bar to a several boxes of dryer sheets. The dryer bar indicates it should last up to 4 months. It was about $4.75 which is what I would pay for a box of dryer sheets. So I tossed it in my basket and couldn't wait to try it.

So I open the package and the instructions are clear: Slide the dryer bar into the plastic, remove the clear backing off of the plastic, press and hold in your dryer. I had doubts that this bar would even stay in place. I was sure it would fall off after the first load of laundry. But to my surprise, it did not fall off, my clothes were not left with grease spots. Instead, they were static free, soft, and smelt delightful.

I would recommend the Bounce Dryer Bar above all other dryer sheets and expensive fabric softeners. I wish this had come out sooner. Laundry is a pain in the rear, but this makes it well worth it.

Aquafresh Iso Active Toothpaste

image aquafresh isoactive toothpasteWhen I saw a commercial for Aquafresh Iso-Active Toothpaste, I thought it was a no-brainer. The foaming concept made so much sense; that being that the paste would turn to foam and reach deep into small crevices, cleaning where no toothpaste had gone before.

I was shopping one day and remembered I wanted to try the Iso-Active. It was easy to find, but much more difficult to decide which flavor I wanted. The choices available were Fresh Impact, Deep Impact & Lasting Impact. Well, I wanted fresh breath, so I thought about getting Fresh Impact. But I want a deep clean and I also want it to last. I'm not sure if Aquafresh was trying to set themselves apart from the rest by creating something unique, but I much prefer other brands who are clear in the flavor. Ie., Cinnamon, Spearmint, Cool Mint, ect.

I decided on Deep Impact which is sold in the bright green pump. I would compare Deep Impact's flavor to Spearmint. To use, you simply press a button on the top of the can/pump. Iso-Active looks like regular gel toothpaste when it first comes out and quickly turns to foam once you begin to brush. When you pour peroxide on an infection, it begins to swell, foam and bubble up. Just imagine this happening in your mouth. It took a few days for me to get used to it. I can just imagine the foam reaching into places my toothbrush can't, and I know my mouth is getting cleaner.

Iso-Active is supposed to be whitening. However, after using a full pump, my teeth have not become any whiter. I wouldn't buy this for the purpose of a whitening toothpaste, but it is a great "regular" toothpaste.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

Image Mr.Clean Magic Eraser by Chlorox
For those of you who haven't heard of this or haven't bothered to pick a pack up, you are missing out. For those of us who own a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, we know they are in fact magic!

To use, you just run under cold water, squeeze to remove excess water and that's it! The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works great on so many things. For example, my countertops had kool-aid stains that had been there for 2+ years. Nothing would remove the stain. You name it, I tried it. I picked up a pack of magic erasers for general cleaning and thought to myself, "what the heck, can't hurt, right"? I began wiping the stain with the eraser and it was instantly gone. I couldn't believe my eyes. It works great for kitchen and bathroom clean up, grease stains, microwave cleanup, dishes, floors, mildew/mold, crayons, fingerprints, pet cages, toys, pen marks, and so much more.

I can't tell you how much time this little magic eraser has saved for me. It really does make cleaning less like a tedious chore and more like a quick effortless task. I haven't found anything that this doesn't work on. The only downside is they don't seem to last to long. After several uses, the material begins to ball up and peel off.

Retails for about $2.99 for 2ct or $4.99 for 4ct

Tide Swash

I recently received a FREE sample of Tide Swash courtesy of Vocalpoint. There are several products in the new lineup but the item I received is called " Smooth it Out". I call it my little bottle of miracle but it's actually a spray that instantly releases wrinkles.

"From Crammed in a Drawer, to Out the Door..." This product is more then just a sophisticated catch phrase. Iron, meet your new enemy. Smooth it out took seconds to use. The instructions are simple: Find a piece of wrinkled clothing, lay it on a flat surface and spray. I did just that and in seconds the wrinkles were gone. The scent is clean and fresh. But when using too much or using on a heavier, larger garment, take note that the scent can become a bit overpowering.

Downy has a similar wrinkle release product but I promise you that this one crushes Downy. The reason? Tide's Smooth It Out Swash comes in a small aerosol can so it doesn't leave wet marks on your clothing like Downy's spray bottle. Another reason? Tide Swash is small enough to take on the go.

The Swash lineup now in testing:

•Fresh It Up- A spray to remove odors, it sells for $5 for a 2.5-ounce container.

•Get It Out- A stain-erasing pen, it goes for $3 for 0.4 ounces.

•Smooth It Out- A spray to remove wrinkles, it costs $5 for 5 ounces.

•Steam It Out- A moistened cloth (seven for $5) to toss in a dryer with the clothes, it removes odors and wrinkles after 10 minutes of tumbling.

The only downside? This product is not yet sold in stores. For more reviews on Tide Swash, check out this link from members of Vocalpoint who received their free sample.
