When it comes to gift-giving, I like to buy gifts that will be enjoyed time and time again. I have always been a sucker for practical gifts whether I’m giving or receiving the gift. Give me a new CD and within a week or two I’m ready to pass it along to someone else. 2010 Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide

As women, we tend to focus on our imperfections quite often. Becoming a mom has given me a new plus size physique. While I am happy with my new enlarged breasts, I absolutely detest my post-baby stomach. I am always on the lookout for new shapewear and body slimmers to help hide my belly. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try on a pair of Miraclebody Jeans.

Miraclebody sent me a pair of Samantha Boot Cut Jeans in their Lagoon wash. From first appearance, these jeans looked like a pair of expensive designer jeans. They were stylish and modern. I had high expectations for these jeans, even before trying them on. After all, Miraclebody’s slogan is “look 10bs lighter in 10 seconds!” The one thing I did notice before trying them on was the intricate detail on the back pockets. I absolutely loved the classic looped embroidery. The image below shows a tan embroidery, but the jeans I received feature blue embroidery, which I prefer.

The Samantha boot cut jeans I received feature a 10” mid-rise and are designed to sit on the hips. This was not the case for me. It may have been due to my height (I’m 5’9) but I would be more apt to say these jeans have a high rise. The one nice thing about the high-rise is that it did seem to make my love handles disappear. Now, what women doesn’t want that?!

The hidden tummy control panel and cotton/spandex blend proved to be the perfect combination for a much desired slimming look. So does Miraclebody live up to their tag line “look 10bs lighter in 10 seconds?” Absolutely! Well, almost. It may have taken me just over 10 seconds to squeeze into my jeans but once they were on, I looked more like I had lost 15 lbs rather than 10! The Samantha jeans are flattering and true to size. I would like to see a larger variety in inseams and washes. Of course, I love my dark wash jeans, but occasionally, I like to throw on a pair of faded jeans or destructed jeans. As for the length, these are made with a 32” inseam which is far too short for us taller gals.

Get Ready For The Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop!!

A couple weeks ago, we made the announcement about an upcoming Giveaway Carnival in December called the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop and were taking sign-ups for blogs who wanted to participate. We had such a wonderful response and it's going to be an amazing opportunity for everyone involved!

If you haven’t seen the original post, the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop is a big Giveaway Carnival. Blogs will each host their own giveaway and the prize must be either cash or Gift Cards. It runs for 5 days from December 1 through 5th. Blogs only need to host 1 giveaway during this time and just leave it open for 5 days.

Some people have asked if they had to host a giveaway each day and the answer is no- just 1 giveaway only. The giveaways should be easy entry like follow me on Twitter, GFC or another place you want to build your following.

I am one of the organizers for the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop this year and will also be hosting my own giveaway on my blog as part of the event. The event runs December 1 to 5th and there are over 250 blogs participating so far! I think it’s going to be so much fun for everyone involved!

Exciting Opportunity: Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop

Simply Stacie, Little Yayas, My Wee View and Review Retreat are very excited to announce a very special giveaway event that is coming this December called the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop. This is not your regular giveaway hop. Its a themed giveaway hop modeled after our very successful Follower Giveaway Tours. The prizes will all be cash and gift cards! And guess what? WE WANT YOU TO JOIN US!

How It Works:

• Each blog will host their own giveaway, but will be linked up through the Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop linky. Entrants  just need to “hop” from blog to blog via the linky entering all the giveaways.
• The theme of this hop is holiday gifts that are easy and quick to ship. The prize must be either cash (ie. paid via Paypal) and/or gift cards. They can be of any amount from any store! You can have one or both and its up to you what the prize is as long as it fits into either of those categories.
