As women, we tend to focus on our imperfections quite often. Becoming a mom has given me a new plus size physique. While I am happy with my new enlarged breasts, I absolutely detest my post-baby stomach. I am always on the lookout for new shapewear and body slimmers to help hide my belly. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try on a pair of Miraclebody Jeans.

Miraclebody sent me a pair of Samantha Boot Cut Jeans in their Lagoon wash. From first appearance, these jeans looked like a pair of expensive designer jeans. They were stylish and modern. I had high expectations for these jeans, even before trying them on. After all, Miraclebody’s slogan is “look 10bs lighter in 10 seconds!” The one thing I did notice before trying them on was the intricate detail on the back pockets. I absolutely loved the classic looped embroidery. The image below shows a tan embroidery, but the jeans I received feature blue embroidery, which I prefer.

The Samantha boot cut jeans I received feature a 10” mid-rise and are designed to sit on the hips. This was not the case for me. It may have been due to my height (I’m 5’9) but I would be more apt to say these jeans have a high rise. The one nice thing about the high-rise is that it did seem to make my love handles disappear. Now, what women doesn’t want that?!

The hidden tummy control panel and cotton/spandex blend proved to be the perfect combination for a much desired slimming look. So does Miraclebody live up to their tag line “look 10bs lighter in 10 seconds?” Absolutely! Well, almost. It may have taken me just over 10 seconds to squeeze into my jeans but once they were on, I looked more like I had lost 15 lbs rather than 10! The Samantha jeans are flattering and true to size. I would like to see a larger variety in inseams and washes. Of course, I love my dark wash jeans, but occasionally, I like to throw on a pair of faded jeans or destructed jeans. As for the length, these are made with a 32” inseam which is far too short for us taller gals.
