Playskool Weebles Musical Treehouse Playset Review and Giveaway

Playskool Weebles Musical Treehouse Playset

Playskool produces several lines of educational toys and games for children. Playskool also creates products for newborn to preschool-aged children which are designed to help improve motor skills. Their toys are fun, beneficial and help children express their creativity.

Playskool first introduced Weebles during the early 1970’s. I remember having so much fun gathering all of my Weebles and sliding them across the kitchen floor. Over the years, Weebles have seen a number of changes, but the one thing that still remains the same is the fact that Weebles wobble, but they don’t fall down!

The Weebles Musical Treehouse Playset provides endless hours of fun and entertainment. It is designed for children ages 18 months and up, while the Weebles characters themselves are safe for children 12 months and up. The Weebles Playset comes with 2 Weebles figures, base, slide, escalator, instructions and requires 3 AA batteries (not included).

The Weebles Musical Treehouse Playset measures approximately 7.24 x 22.76 x 14.49. It’s a great size and I love the included handle on top. My son is very active and like most toddlers, he is constantly on the move. The handle is easy for him to hold and makes it very convenient to move from one area to the next.

Setup was very quick and easy. The instructions are easy to understand but it’s likely you won’t even need them. The slide and escalator easily snap into the base and remain nice and secure.

Weebles pals can wobble, climb, dance, slide and hide. Four songs and eight different sounds keep your child engaged. They’ll enjoy turning the crank to send the Weebles up the escalator and they will be full of grins watching them make their way down the curvy slide. The music is activated by a button on the bottom of the slide. Each time a Weeble slides over the button, new music plays. Children can also easy press the button to play the music if their Weebles are hiding in the secret space inside the tree, spinning around on the house deck or keeping watch on the top lookout post.

The Weebles Treehouse is the first toy my son reaches for in the morning and the last toy he plays with before he falls asleep. At first it took my son a few tries before he was able to turn the crank on the escalator. Now, he likes to challenge himself to turn it faster than the time before. He also likes to hide his Weebles figures in the treehouse and peek at them wobbling around through the small window.

PURCHASE INFORMATION: The Weebles Musical Treehouse Playset is available online and at most mass retailers. The estimated retail value is $29.99 (prices may vary by retailer).

CSN Stores Review

When you want to save time and complete all of your shopping at one location, there’s no better place than CSN Stores. CSN Stores is an online shopping site comprised of more than 200 stores. They find the latest products, best deals, and combine them into one convenient retail website, eliminating the hassle of shopping from store to store.

For my review, I knew I wanted to find a children’s play tent for my two year old son. CSN Store, Swingsets and More, had just what I was looking for. While browsing through their great selection of playhouses and plastic play tents, I came across the Playhut Big Red Fire Engine Pop Up Play Tent. Like any two year old, my son loves adventure and I knew he would have a blast with this particular toy.

This toy is great for parents because it is designed with twist ‘n’ fold technology, which allows instant set up and easy storage. Once removed from the box, it literally took me seconds to set up. The fire truck is held closed with velco straps. Once you remove them the tent will begin to unfold. Another mom approved feature is it’s lightweight structure and ability to take anywhere.

The Fire-truck Play Tent is recommended for children ages 3 and up, yet this has quickly become my two year old son’s favorite toy. He spends hours entertaining himself, which makes mom happy! There is a door in the rear as well as a side door which is hidden by a “flyaway” flap. My son tends to be claustrophobic, but does great in his fire truck because of the see-through mesh windows throughout. It is suggested that this toy will fit two children. Since my son is an only child, and mommy and daddy are too big, a much smaller nana crawled through with him. I imagine 2 children could comfortable fit, 3-4 children for a more crowded fit or 1 child and 1 small adult. I couldn’t have made a better selection. I would definitely recommend this affordable popup tent for countless hours of fun!

As I said before, CSN really does have it all! While my son was busy hard at play, I was busy grilling up some tender chicken breasts on my new cast iron grill pan from CSN Store Cookware.com. Cookware.com has an enormous selection of all of the top brands in cookware such as Cuisinart, Rachael Ray, Kitchen Aid and more. I have always wanted a cast iron skillet and had no idea which one to choose. My decision was based on the fact that this skillet was the cheapest cast iron skillet I was able to find online.

The Emerilware Cast Iron 10" Square Grill Pan – On Sale $27.95

The gourmet cookware brand, Emerilware, is created by celebrity Chef Emeril Lagasse with All-Clad Metal crafters, America's premier cookware company. With Emeril's pre-seasoned 10" square grill pan, you can dress up all your low fat, favorite grilled foods with authentic restaurant grill stripes!

Since this was my first cast iron pan, I had no idea what seasoning meant, but discovered it related to the oil being absorbed by the pores of the pan. The description indicates this skillet is pre-seasoned, but I found my food still stuck during my first use. I learned how to season a cast iron skillet, and have been enjoying my non-stick cast iron skillet on a daily basis!

If you have never used cast iron, I highly recommend it! My cast iron skillet seems to really lock in the seasonings and flavor. The heat is even and consistent, making it easier to prepare a perfect meal each and every time. This pan is perfect for browning, searing, frying, and sautéing! Another great feature to cast iron, is the fact that it is scratch resistant and will not warp or chip. Though this skillet may stick during the first few uses, it becomes virtually non-stick with additional seasoning and use. I have definitely noticed less sticking with an additional seasoning therefore, I would recommend you season prior to your first use.

The Emerilware Cast Iron 10" Square Grill Pan may be used on any surface, as long as the temperature does not exceed 600° F. All cast iron is heavy, this skillet is no exception. It weighs a hefty 8lbs, which is fine by me, but may be a concern to those living with medical conditions that affect their wrist/hand flexibility. The only downfall to this pan, or any cast iron pan, is the fact that the handle gets very hot. I’m ordering a silicone handle sleeve to help keep the handle cool. CSN sells Le Creuset Cool Handle Holders for around $8.00, which is definitely worth it!

With Christmas shopping season nearing us, I cannot think of a better place to get all of my shopping done in one place! CSN Stores has something for everyone! There is no item too big or too small. Whether you are simply looking new kitchen knobs or a brand new luxury furniture set, CSN Stores has you covered. Many of their items offer free shipping, otherwise the shipping rates are very low. With their 100% satisfaction guarantee, fast shipping, great customer service, huge product selection and low prices, it’s a wonder why anyone would shop anywhere else!

BUY IT: The Playhut Big Red Fire Engine Pop Up Play Tent retails for $37.97, but is currently on sale for just $27.98. The Emerilware Cast Iron 10" Square Grill Pan is on sale for $27.95, from it’s original price of $36.95!

Boon Review- Frog Pod Deluxe

Initially, Boon began with a toddler and a messy bathtub. Mother and designer, Rebecca Finell was determined to find a better way to keep her bathtub tidy, yet still offering a fun bath time for her child. Her wheels started turning and soon enough, the Frog Pod was created.  She sought out her business partner, Ryan Fernandez, and together they founded Boon Incorporated. Today, Boon offers a wide range of innovative, yet affordable products to help families all over the world.

For my review, I chose to review the product that started it all- The Frog Pod Deluxe. The Frog Pod Deluxe includes both the Boon Frog Pod and Boon Bath Goods designer bath toys.

The Frog Pod is designed to help make cleanup a breeze by providing a drainable scoop for collection and rinsing toys. In addition, the Frog Pod provides storage and bath organization. You have several options for easy assembly- adhesive strips that can be removed without harming or damaging bath tile or wall surfaces, screw-mounted or suction cup wall bracket(sold separately).

The Bath Goods bath toys included with the Frog Pod Deluxe include 15 designer foam appliques, 3 balls, and 2 mini scrubbies to make bath time a creative and playful experience. The toys in this set do not absorb water which reduces the risk for mold and mildew. The contemporary colors and funky shapes of these toys look great in any bathroom and the mini-scrubbies are the perfect size for little hands.

I cannot even begin to describe how much my son and I love the Frog Pod Deluxe. His eyes lit up the moment he first saw his new bath toy. I chose to hang our Frog Pod using the self-adhesive strips. I am very impressed by how well these strips hold. I initially thought the Frog Pod would fall due to shower steam or from my son tugging on it. We have had ours installed for a couple of weeks now, and it remains tightly intact.

One of my favorite features is the frog’s fingers and toes. Both can be used for hanging bath accessories, and we use them to hang our mini-scrubbies. This toy was created with moms in mind too! Behind the frogs head and your shower wall is is a hidden shelf which offers room to hold 2-3 bottles of soap, shampoo, body wash, and so on.

The Frog Pod has the ability to hold up to 10lbs when using the adhesive strips and 20lbs when mounting with screws. The Frog Pod comfortably holds all of the toys from the Bath Goods set with a small amount of room for additional toys. We found what works best for us is to hang the wall appliques to the shower wall, which allows for more room for other toys in the scoop basket. They stay attached to the wall until our next bath time.

The Frog Pod helps make bath time clean-up a breeze, providing a drainable scoop for collecting and rinsing toys. Not only will the Frog Pod make bath time fun, but as parent’s we will feel at ease not constantly having to worry about mold and mildew building up on the toys.

My son recently turned two, and he loves his new Frog Pod. When I ask him if he would like to take a bath, he responds “ frog, play with frog, frog…”. He has a blast removing the scoop and dumping his toys into his bathwater. I enjoy watching him have so much fun getting clean. I am also grateful to have my shower back. His bath toys were taking over our shower. With the Boon Frog Pod, everything is neatly organized and out of the way. I wish I had discovered this product sooner! It would be great for babies, toddlers and I am sure we will enjoy it for years to come.

Boon products are not only clever, but they are modern, convenient and fun to use! Boon manufactures toys, bath goods, organizational pieces, toddler potty training seats, high chairs and so much more! All of their products are BPA-free, pthalate-free and PVC-free, so you can shop with confidence, knowing their products are safe for your children to use.

A Blast From The Past: Favorite Childhood Toys

I recently purchased a Sit 'N Spin for my toddler son. The only reason I bought it for him is because I remembered how much I adored this toy as a child. Oh, you thought Sit 'N Spins died along with the 80's? Oh no! Sit 'N Spins have returned! I have to say, I am very disappointed. Hasbro's Current edition plays music, which in theory is a cool idea, but what good is it if it won't spin?! Here's an image of his Sit N Spin, except his base is blue instead of green.

I remember spending my days spinning around and around on my favorite toy. And maybe my friends and I had a couple of accidents due to the high spinning speeds, but that just made us want to go faster the next time. Today's Sit 'N Spin is nothing compared to the version I had. It doesnt spin!! I don't remember what the bottom of my Sit 'N Spin looked like but if you have one now, you know that it has a plastic piece beneath the base. I don't know if it's too close together or what the deal is, but it conflicts with the whole purpose of the toy, to spin.

Here is the most awesome toy ever invented:Here are like some more toys that like totally rocked during the 80's

I didn't much care for the Lite Brite, but it was my brothers favorite. Yep, these are back too! My mom is actually buying one as a gag gift for my brothers 21st birthday this week.

Kids can be surgeons too. Here's another favorite: Operation.

Cabbage Patch Dolls

Even-though these were around in the 50's 60's, they were always fun to play with in the 80's! Troll Dolls:

If you were an 80's child, you either had a Talking Mickey or wanted one!

Easy Bake has been around since the 60's but receives a new makeover every decade. This toy came in second on my list next to Sit 'N Spin.
Here is the 80's Version:
And another fun 80's toy - The Pogo Ball

There were several great toys from the 80's. These just happen to be some of my favorites. Why is it I can't remember what I did last week, but I remember toys from over 20 years ago?
Did your favorite toy make the list?
What was your favorite toy you had or wish you had when you were younger?
