For my review, I knew I wanted to find a children’s play tent for my two year old son. CSN Store, Swingsets and More, had just what I was looking for. While browsing through their great selection of playhouses and plastic play tents, I came across the Playhut Big Red Fire Engine Pop Up Play Tent. Like any two year old, my son loves adventure and I knew he would have a blast with this particular toy.
The Fire-truck Play Tent is recommended for children ages 3 and up, yet this has quickly become my two year old son’s favorite toy. He spends hours entertaining himself, which makes mom happy! There is a door in the rear as well as a side door which is hidden by a “flyaway” flap. My son tends to be claustrophobic, but does great in his fire truck because of the see-through mesh windows throughout. It is suggested that this toy will fit two children. Since my son is an only child, and mommy and daddy are too big, a much smaller nana crawled through with him. I imagine 2 children could comfortable fit, 3-4 children for a more crowded fit or 1 child and 1 small adult. I couldn’t have made a better selection. I would definitely recommend this affordable popup tent for countless hours of fun!
As I said before, CSN really does have it all! While my son was busy hard at play, I was busy grilling up some tender chicken breasts on my new cast iron grill pan from CSN Store Cookware.com. Since this was my first cast iron pan, I had no idea what seasoning meant, but discovered it related to the oil being absorbed by the pores of the pan. The description indicates this skillet is pre-seasoned, but I found my food still stuck during my first use. I learned how to season a cast iron skillet, and have been enjoying my non-stick cast iron skillet on a daily basis!
If you have never used cast iron, I highly recommend it! My cast iron skillet seems to really lock in the seasonings and flavor. The heat is even and consistent, making it easier to prepare a perfect meal each and every time. This pan is perfect for browning, searing, frying, and sautéing! Another great feature to cast iron, is the fact that it is scratch resistant and will not warp or chip. Though this skillet may stick during the first few uses, it becomes virtually non-stick with additional seasoning and use. I have definitely noticed less sticking with an additional seasoning therefore, I would recommend you season prior to your first use.
The Emerilware Cast Iron 10" Square Grill Pan may be used on any surface, as long as the temperature does not exceed 600° F. All cast iron is heavy, this skillet is no
exception. It weighs a hefty 8lbs, which is fine by me, but may be a concern to those living with medical conditions that affect their wrist/hand flexibility. The only downfall to this pan, or any cast iron pan, is the fact that the handle gets very hot. I’m ordering a silicone handle sleeve to help keep the handle cool. CSN sells Le Creuset Cool Handle Holders for around $8.00, which is definitely worth it!
