Spray mops are a definite must have in household cleaning products. They’re easy to use and they get the job done quickly without the high price tag. Rubbermaid has recently introduced the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop, or what I like to call “my new best friend.” The Rubbermaid Reveal Mop is unlike any other mop on the market. It doesn’t require expensive replacement pads. Instead, it includes reusable and washable microfiber pads. And forget about the hassle that comes along with the need to replace batteries! Instead of batteries, the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop uses a spray trigger which saves money and allows you to control the amount of solution that is distributed.
Tired of mops that limit you to one or two surfaces? This has been a huge concern of mine for quite some time. Why should I have to use a different cleaning tool for each room of my house? Well, I shouldn’t and neither should you. Rubbermaid Reveal is designed to leave your floor sparkling clean on virtually any type of surface, including wood, tile, vinyl and laminate.
From my experience, most spray mops come with a premade solution. One of the great features with the Reveal Mop is the ability to customize your own cleaning solution. The bottle allows you to use water alone, or mix two tablespoons of your favorite cleaner with warm water and you’re ready to go! My favorite solution includes a mixture of lemon juice and warm water which gives my hardwood floors a nice zesty fragrance and leaves them sparkling clean every time. The refillable spray bottle is an ingenious idea that not only saves time but saves money too!
I never thought I would be excited about a mop, but the Reveal Wet Mopping Pad is unlike any mop pad I have ever seen. The microfiber mop pad is wider and thicker than tradition mop pads which allows you to pick up 50% more dirt and dust than traditional mops. The Reveal Pads are plush, durable, thick, and reusable! Rubbermaid suggests one pad will last through 100 cycles in a standard washing machine! I did find it to be super absorbent and can be used several times before washing. The pads stay attached to the Reveal Mop securely, yet can be easily removed after each use. They can be washed by hand or tossed in the washing machine.
I would like to see a rubber grip on the handle to help keep the mop from falling over when propped against the wall. It does however have a metal loop attached for hanging when not in use. While the Reveal Mop is great for women of an average height, it may tend to be a bit awkward for taller women. I’m 5’9 and found when I needed to scrub a specific area, I had to bend over pretty far. I do have this problem with other mops as well but I love the Reveal Mop and it would be perfect if only it had a height adjustment feature.
The Rubbermaid Reveal Mop is the best spray mop I have ever used. It saves money by eliminating the need to constantly buy new replacement pads, solutions and batteries. It is sturdy and made to last. I can easily clean hard to reach areas as the mop stick can reach the floor and the pad remains intact. The Reveal Mop also features a soft foam comfort grip which is extremely comfortable and makes mopping much easier. Another feature I noticed in the Reveal Mop is the area of floor the spray/cleaner reaches. From my experience, most spray mops spray just a tiny area. When I pull the trigger on the Reveal Mop, the cleaner sprays much wider than other mops. Additionally, it is very easy to control the amount of spray that is used. The Reveal Mop adds convenience and simplicity to household cleaning. As a busy mother, I rely on my Reveal Mop on a daily basis- I love it!
