The average person loses between 40 and 120 strands a day! I have very long and thick hair and I would guess at least half of those hair strands lost are tangled in my brush. Like many women, I struggle with built up hair in my brush. Cleaning my brush always feels like a tedious chore. Affordable Eyeshadow Palettes and Makeup Brushes - Review

Eyeshadow is the best way to accentuate your eyes and add drama to your look. Applying eyeshadow can be a lot of fun. You can apply subtle shadow for a natural look, apply bright colors to really make your eyes pop or even apply eyeshadow to match your outfit. Eyeshadow is my favorite cosmetic product to use but they can become so expensive. Some eye shadow palettes cost well over $100.00! I was searching online for an affordable eyeshadow palette and came across BH Cosmetics.


BH Cosmetics provides contour and blush palettes, eye shadow palettes, lip palettes and makeup brushes. I recently received the 1st Edition 120 Color Palette. I admit, I was very skeptical. I thought there was no way possible a 120 eyeshadow palette could cost under $30.00 and actually be a good shadow!

When I received my shadow palette, I was expecting several colors to be broken and scattered throughout the palette. Every single shadow was in tact with not a single color broken. I appreciate the fact that BH Cosmetics took the time to carefully package my palette.

I found the eyeshadow in the 120 Color Palette to be highly pigmented. I was able to apply the eyeshadow with ease. You won't need to cake the shadow on as they are so rich in color, you only need to swipe each color across your lid once. This palette includes every color you would possibly need from blues, browns, grays, pale shimmers, pinks, greens, reds, vibrant bold shimmers and everything in between. I have been using this palette exclusively for several weeks now. I love that this palette can be used for everyday wear! The colors blend very nicely and are long lasting. I have tried several color variations and haven't seen any of them crease. I am still in shock that BH Cosmetics offers a 120 eyeshadow Palette for such a small price!

I noticed that these brushes really pickup the color. One of the problems I have with my other brushes is the hair or bristles falling out. I haven't had that happen with the brushed in this kit.

How To Use: Install the included batteries into the activating light. Rinse with the accelerator mouth rinse for 10 seconds. Next, brush the super whitening gel on each individual tooth. The final step is to hold the activating light up to your teeth. Turn the light on once you have it in position. The light will automatically shut off after 2 minutes to reveal a brighter smile.

My Thoughts: The instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I have used whitening strips and rinses in the past and they all seem to make my teeth especially sensitivity. I was able to use 1 Hour White without experiencing the least bit of sensitivity.

The Accelerating Mouth Rinse has a slight taste, but not at all terrible. The Whitening Gel has a bottle and brush similar to a bottle of White-Out. The brush made it very easy to apply to my teeth with perfect precision, minus the mess. Once the Whitening Gel dried (takes just a few seconds), I was ready to use the Whitening Light.

There were a few occasions where I became impatient and turned my light off early to repeat the process. One hour may seem like a long time, but it beats using strips every single day. If you feel an hour is too long, you may prefer to whiten you teeth in one application one day and finish the remaining 10 applications another day.

I had to see my dentist this week for an abscessed wisdom tooth and I brought my Luster 1 Hour White with me to hear his opinion. Based on the products in the kit and the ingredients used, he thought this would be an excellent whitening product. His only suggestion was to have a professional cleaning prior to whitening to achieve maximum results. As you can see, I received great results with just one 30 minute use. According to the shade guide, my teeth are 4 shades lighter! I was very surprised in the difference, especially after just using 1 Hour White for 30 Minutes. I may consider having my teeth cleaned prior to my next use, although I don't think it is completely necessary since I was able to achieve such amazing results without a cleaning.
