Somersaults Snacks Review

We have just entered into a new year and along with myself, I know many of you resolved to lose weight in 2010. Somersault Snacks are a great snack to help keep you and me on the right track!

Unlike many other healthy snacks, Somersaults actually taste good. They contain 6-7grams of protein and 3grams of fiber so you will feel satisfied and full much longer then you would with other snack choices.

Somersaults come in three delicious flavors: S.S Sea Salt, Salty Pepper and Chez Cocoa. One of my favorite snacks are sunflower seeds so I was pleasantly surprised to find out all three flavors contain sunflower seeds. My favorite flavor is S.S Sea Salt. With the salt and sunflowers, you get just the right mix of sweet and salty. Salty Pepper is a snack like no other. This flavor is great for those who like pepper or spice. I always have to add my own pepper to snacks, so I was happy to find a snack with pepper already added. Last but not least, is Chez Cocoa. This flavor also has a great blend of salty and sweet. I am not a "sweets" person, but this flavor is very tasty. Chez Cocoa has just the right amount of sweetness without going overboard. My toddler son loves all three flavors. When I ask what he would like for his snack, he always reaches for our bags of Somersaults.

Somersaults are available in two different sizes: 2oz, which are great for taking on the go and 6oz, which are great for the pantry, the office or packing for a family day out. They also sell caddies of 8- 2oz bags. I especially love the fact that Somersaults are all natural. Their ingredients include: Sunflower Seeds, Whole Wheat Flour, Evaporated Cane Juice, Cocoa Powder, Sesame Seeds, Chicory Root Fiber, Sea Salt, Expeller Pressed High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Vital Wheat Gluten, and Ground Pepper.

Vitalicious Review & Giveaway- Ended

Eating healthy does not mean you have to sacrifice flavor. If you are trying to lose weight or are just looking for a healthy alternative to one of your current snacks, you should try Vitalicious. For my review, I received a Chocolate Super Sampler full of VitaTops and VitaBrownies. My husband and father tried the VitaTops. The only words out of their mouths were "mmmm, & oh my god - these are good". After they finished, they both ran over to the SuperSampler to try another. My picky 21 month old son loves both the Vitamuffins and Vitabrownies. I am very satisfied with giving him Vitalicious products as a healthy alternative to some of the sugar/fat/calorie loaded snacks that are marketed towards children. My personal favorites are the Banana Nut VitaTops and the Deep Chocolate Vitatops. Writing this review literally has me wanting to go to the freezer and have one right now! I have been enjoying the VitaTops for breakfast each morning. They are so delicious and I stay full until lunch time. I love the fact that Vitalicious products are full of fiber. I have really become more "regular" which has been a problem for me.




I will admit, I'm not the world's greatest baker which is why I loved this SuperSampler. But if you are one of those talented women who enjoy baking, Vitalicious also caries Vitamix. Maybelline Expert Wear Eye Shadow Quads

You may remember me mentioning the Maybelline Expert Eye Shadow Quads earlier this week. You may also remember me mentioning our new puppy chewing up my USB cord. Well, I was able to replace it today and I am very excited to share my review with you.

I bought an eyeshadow quad just last week in the shade "Enchanted Forest". The "Enchanted Forest" is a very warm color palette with beige, gold, brown and olive green.

These eye shadow quads are great for beginners because each eyeshadow color has a description inset of where to apply, such as: lid, brow, crease, and corner. If you look on the back of the eyeshadow, you will also see a description as to the different ways you could wear the eyeshadow. These shadows have just enough shimmer to draw attention to your eyes without spreading glitter all over your face.

The best part about Maybelline's Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quads is that they stay on all day and all night. I have never used a primer when wearing these eyeshadows and my eyes look as good 24hours later as they did when I first applied it. I've used three different palettes and none of them crease.; they apply very easily.

I would like to tell you that I took these pictures at 2 am when I couldn't sleep. They do the eyeshadow's no justice. I will also tell you, I woke up in the morning and I looked like I had just applied the shadow. I liked "Enchanted Forest" so much, that I went and bought two more. The photo on the right is "Amethyst Smokes" .

The other shade I purchased is "Designer Chocolates". I think the colors on the palette are very pretty, but they did not show up well on my skin tone. The only colors you could see were the red for the crease and the brown for the corner. Overall, I have a new favorite eye shadow and cannot wait to go and pickup more of these. There are over 16 palletes, so there is a color for everyone and at around $5.00, you can't beat it!
