Affordable Scarves Review: Charlotte Tie Dyed Scarf

Bridget Square ScarfFall 2010 Fashion Trends are officially upon us… and I’m absolutely loving every single second of  it!  Scarves just happen to be one of my favorite fall accessories. Adding a scarf is an effortless and affordable way to add a touch of style to any ensemble. Contrary to what many people believe, scarves can be (and should be) worn year round!

Affordable Scarves offers high-quality, unique fashion scarves with unbeatable prices. They have an endless variety of colors, fabrics, weaves, sizes and the best part is every scarf is just $20.00 and under. Their website couldn’t be easier to navigate. You can choose to shop by season, shape, color, material, size, trend, best sellers or new arrivals. They even have a “How To Tie A Scarf” section which includes helpful instructions and video tutorials (37 to be exact) on how to tie a scarf. I had no idea there were even that many ways to tie a scarf, did you?

Living in North Texas, I am no stranger to the scorching hot summers, warm fall seasons, and mild winters. Temperatures above 70° are not uncommon for winters in North Texas. Keeping this in mind, I knew I wanted a lightweight scarf to serve more as a fashion accessory rather than a winter scarf to keep me warm. I came across the Charlotte Tie-Dyed Scarf and knew I had to have it!

The Charlotte Tie Dyed Scarf is available in the colors Blue-Multi or Pink and Black. Pink is one of my favorite colors to wear, so I chose the pink and black. The Charlotte Tie-Dyed Scarf is a beautiful lightweight scarf which pairs deep black and bright pink with a splash of white to add a pop of color to any outfit.

Bridget Square Scarf-Details

100% Viscose

25” W x 67" L

3” Fringe

The viscose fabric has the feel of soft organic cotton, and is lightweight so you can wear it year round. I usually don’t wear tie-dyed print, but this scarf is absolutely stunning. The long length makes it easy to wear in so many ways.

The care instructions have an “X” marked through a washing machine, an iron, and a few other boxy shapes. I’m not quite clear on the proper way to wash this scarf, but I have hand washed mine and laid flat to dry and it works wonderfully. Overall, I absolutely love the Charlotte Scarf, the low prices, friendly service and fast shipping offered at Affordable Scarves.

  2. I was not aware there were so many ways to tie a scarf. Featuring those instructional videos on the site was an great idea. I like the scarf you selected and I'm truly impressed with the variety of scarves. Usually I focus on wearing scarves during the winter months but I'm going to experiment with lightweight scarves during the spring and summer. You mentioned fast shipping and that is always a plus in my book. I've seen these scarves in NY and now I can easily purchase them online. Thanks for reviewing Affordable Scarves.

  3. That tie dye scarf is so pretty! I live in southern California so I know what you mean about mild and warm weather, a lightweight scarf would be perfect.

..thanks for including how you washed it, I'm always nervous to wash my new stuff especially when the care instructions have those little boxes with the pictures haha I never know what they all mean!

  6. I love changing my look with scarves! I really appreciated that you tested the instructions --- I think those symbols and boxes are so confusing --- so I thought it was great that you tried gently handwashing the scarf. (And hooray it was success!)

  11. I was looking at all the beautiful scarves but didn't see "How to Tie A Scarf" section. I found it when I clicked on "The Blog" at the top right corner of page. I need ideas and found lots of them here. I love the "Bow Tie" one. Saving their site. Great low prices! Thanks!

  12. I just really like the teal colored one. I've never seen one like that before! And it looks like the material is really good for tying- not too thick. I really like that!
