This safe and effective device includes two interchangeable heads that provide 414 nanometers(nm) of blue and 660nm of red Natural Spectrum light. I have been using my Verilux ClearWave Soothing Skin System for one month now and the only thing I can say, is I wish I would have found this sooner! I have had an acne scar for several months. I have tried both prescription acne creams and over the counter topical medication and nothing has helped. I was certain I would live with that ugly scar forever. That is, until I tried the Clear Wave System. I was skeptical at first because I had used the ClearWave for several days without any noticeable change. After a weeks time, I woke up one morning and to my surprise, my acne blemish was gone!  I was concerned about the possibility of burning, redness and irritation. I was happy to find the ClearWave system is gentle and painless. It simply feels like a piece of plastic pressed against your skin. There is no burning, I did not even experience a warming sensation like I initially thought. I have sensitive skin and found this to be extremely effective, so I imagine this would be great for all other skin types.

The Clear Wave System is also great for oily skin. I suffer from oily skin, especially in my t-zone area. Over the course of one month, I have noticed less oil and visibly smaller pores. I have been using this every day and I have not had a breakout once. My skin looks and feels smoother and clearer. This system is absolutely amazing- a must have for every woman! This system clears up existing acne quicker than any acne cream or medication and prevents new acne from forming.

At first glace, the price tag may seem out of reach. Yu-Be is a Glycerin-based moisturizing cream developed by the Japanese pharmacist, Yoshikiyo Nowatari . Moisturizing Cream

This multi-purpose moisturizing cream can be used to help provide relief for a number of skin conditions such as: painful split cuticles, tough calluses, hard cracked heels, burns and severely dry skin. In addition Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream also reduces symptoms associated with rashes, Eczema, inflammation, itching and Dermatitis. This may be applied directly to the skin and/or lips. There is a light camphor fragrance (which I love! ) but the fragrance does fade away quickly. Over the past several months, I have developed a rough skin patch on my elbow. I have tried several skin creams and moisturizers but nothing has helped. After using Yu-Be for just over one week, the dry skin patch has improved significantly. My rough elbows have become much softer and the rough patch is nearly gone!  The Moisturizing Skin Cream is non-greasy and noticeably locks in moisture. Prior to using this cream, I had flaky skin. As soon as I apply the moisturizer, the flakes are gone, and my elbows are instantly relieved! The moisturizing cream comes in a 1.25oz tube, which is the perfect size to toss in your handbag and carry with you.

Body Lotion

Yu-Be Moisturizing Body Lotion is made using the same #1 selling Japanese glycerin formula. Similar to the moisturizing cream, the body lotion has the same camphor scent, yet it has  a slightly lighter texture. The Moisturizing Body Lotion is designed to provide continuous hydration and protection for troublesome dry skin. The formula is gentle enough to use on your face and lips. I have been using this product religiously on my dry legs and arms. I was very impressed at how quickly this lotion was absorbed and at how soft and hydrated my skin feels.  Yu-Be Moisturizing Body Lotion comes in a 10.25oz bottle with a convenient pump. This is a great product to provide your skin with year round moisture and hydration.

Foaming Skin Polish

Foaming Skin Polish is made from fine grains of rice bran and combined with bamboo and gentle cleaning agents to create a luxurious foaming scrub. Like the other products from Yu-Be, this may also be used on the face. Ginger root and ginseng work together to tone and balance the skin, while green tea, geranium oil and camphor provide a soothing, cool, refreshing feeling.  The texture is gritty and feels great when massaging against your skin. I would best describe YuBe Skin Polish as a gentle exfoliator. I have been using my scrub all over my body and I am thrilled to say goodbye to my alligator skin. I highly recommend this product to anyone living with extremely dry skin.

Lip Therapy

Lip Therapy soothes, moisturizes and protects dry, painful, chapped lips. This all-natural lip balm has no artificial colors, fragrances, oils or petroleum. I suffer from dry chapped lips year round. Products I have used in the past seem to irritate my lips, making them more dry. Yu-Be Lip Therapy glides on smoothly and stays on for hours, even through drinking and eating. There is a light camphor scent which fades within just seconds. I love that this is non-sticky. There is nothing worst than applying a lip balm only to have your hair glued to your lips. My lips feel soft and kissable. I will definitely be buying more of this to keep on hand!

Growing up, I never truly understood the importance of a daily skincare regimen. I was under the impression that women, including myself, did not need anything other than sunscreen until they began to show signs of aging. Boy, was I wrong! I am in my mid twenties, though most would say I look older. Looking older is definitely not something any woman would wish for herself. Applying Purity Balance is just as easy as the Opti Crystal. To use- Dispense a small amount into clean hands and pat onto face, avoiding the eye area. Purity Balance is available in a 3.3oz bottle. The spray pump sprays evenly, allowing for an easy application. My skin was left with a cool and refreshed feeling. CosMedix suggests using this following the use of Benefit Clean or Purity Clean. I didn’t have either, so I used my regular facial bar soap. I was very impressed at how well Purity Balance removed pore-clogging excess oils from my face. I used a cotton ball to help demonstrate how well this really works:



I couldn’t believe how much dirt and oil I was able to remove with Purity Balance even after washing my face! This product would be great for men and women who battle with excess oil and/or large pores. This product may increase sensitive to sunlight, so it is advised to wear sunscreen along with Purity Balance.

Proactiv Really Works- Review

I began to notice acne after I turned 23. I never had to live with acne growing up, so this was especially difficult to deal with. The acne was on my chin and jaw line. Although, it was a mild case, it was noticeable and it made me feel insecure. One of my other major concerns was the size of my pores on and around my nose. My pores were always clogged with oil. People would comment on my "freckles", which made me feel even insecure, because it was actually dirt and oil filling my pores. I had tried everything: Exfoliators, deep cleansers, masks, toners, but nothing helped. At this point, I had gotten so used to my blemished skin, I was ready to just give up.


Recently, I was presented with the opportunity to review the new Proactiv. My brother had used Proactiv during his teenage years and it seemed to really help his severe acne. I decided to try Proactiv as my last resort in hopes that it would help me too. I received the Proactiv 3-Step System which included Renewing Cleanser, Revitalizing Toner, Repairing Treatment and the bonus Green Tree Moisturizer and the Refining Mask.

The scent of the cleanser, toner and repairing treatment has a light and clean fragrance. Before using my Proactiv, I noticed the bottle tops are made with a convenient flip top. I remember my brothers system having a screw off lid. Sometimes, it's the little things that count and already, this is more convenient and less messy. I followed the instructions for the cleanser. I like the fact that it is made with tiny micro-crystals to remove dead/flaky skin. After using the cleanser, my face was red from scrubbing so hard, but it had never felt so clean. I followed the remaining steps and the redness disappeared after several minutes. The Green Tea Moisturizer smells incredible and makes my skin feel silky smooth.

I have been using Proactiv for two weeks now. I apply the 3-step system and moisturizer daily and use the refining mask once a week. Already, I notice my pores are nearly invisible. Before Proactiv, I had to avoid foundation because it would really highlight my dry skin. Now, my skin is moisturized and the dry skin that was there before is gone. My acne isn't completely gone but it is less noticeable. With the results I have seen within just this short period of time, I have confidence my acne will fade with further use of Proactiv. Overall, Proactiv is a great product! Not only did it help with my acne, but it completely diminished my large pores. I would recommended this to anyone suffering from acne or anyone wanting blemish-free, smooth beautiful skin.
