Folica.com Review: BaByliss PRO Ceramic 20 Roller Setter

folica.com, the web’s best source for hair care products and appliances

Want sexy waves or tight curls? The BaByliss Ceramic Pro Hair setter can help you achieve any and all curly looks without damaging your hair.

curly-hair-styleFor years, I have been searching for a styling tool to help provide a consistent curl. My hair is naturally wavy on top, curly underneath and frizzy all over. I have been using my flat iron to add waves, but I have been looking for something more practical. I have spent hundreds of dollars on styling tools over the years. Recently, a friend told me Babyliss hot rollers are the best she has ever used, so I had to try them for myself.

Folica generously sent me the BaByliss PRO Ceramic 20 Roller Setter for review. The BaByliss PRO 20 Roller Set provides infrared heat to give you faster, gentler styling.  Designed to eliminate damaging hot spots and provide maximum heat transfer.

At first glance, the BaByliss PRO Ceramic Set appeared to have the same high quality of professional rollers. The base includes a “ready” light that will appear red when the rollers are ready to use.

BaByliss PRO Ceramic 20 Roller Setter Includes

  • 8 Jumbo Rollers
  • 6 Medium Rollers,
  • 6 Small Rollers
  • 20 Butterfly Clips
  • 20 Metal Pins
  • 2 Year Limited Warranty

hot roller reviewI have very long, thick and coarse hair. I have a hard time finding products to work well with my hair type. These are by far the best rollers I have ever used!  The velvet flocked rollers easily “grabbed” onto my hair. For me, it was necessary to use both the metal pins and butterfly clips. My hair stayed in place while setting. I removed the rollers after 15 minutes and was left with beautiful, soft curls. I brushed them out to produce sexy, natural looking waves. When I use my BaByliss rollers, my hairstyle stays in place throughout the day.

The BaByliss PRO Ceramic 20 Roller Setter is easy to use. Many setters I have used in the past leave a crease, pull and snag at my hair. These were exactly the opposite. There is no pulling, no snagging, no creasing- just soft, shiny, healthy hair.  The rollers themselves are easy to grip and makes using hot rollers a fun and painless experience. I also like the on/off button feature. It is very convenient when your electrical outlet is in a hard to reach place. These are great for at home and definitely for travel.

Splurge Hair Salon & My New Look

It's been about 6 months since I have had a haircut. I am so excited to be visiting Splurge Salon for the first time tomorrow. I have an appointment with Lindsay. Take a look at how beautiful this salon is:

I found a picture of what (I think) I want my hair to look like. It's very long and thick and is naturally curly. I normally straighten it because I can't achieve an all over consistent curl. I think with all of the layers, I could rock this look straight or curly.

After a long thought and a very good laugh, I told myself I didn't want to look like a freaking weirdo, walking into the salon with a mannequin and wig. So.... I found a similar look, except the layers are blown inward instead of outward.

I'm a bit worried. I'm not sure what color my hair is, but its definitely not blond. And my face is much chunkier than these ladies (or lady, ha!). I'm going to take my photo in tomorrow and leave the final decision up to Lindsay. Be sure to check back for my update with before and after photos!!
