For my review, I was sent the Freshwater Pearl Necklace, 6.0-7.0mm, in the natural-color white. My necklace arrived in a beautiful black jewelry box, along with an appraisal value of $550.00! Pearls aren’t just for grandma’s anymore; they’re classic, timeless and absolutely stunning. The classic pearl necklace I received pairs beautifully with formal wear but can easily be worn with a casual ensemble for an added touch of glamour.

The necklace I received is 18 inches long which is a great length. It’s long enough to still be seen on most clothing necklines and it’s short enough to not get caught on an object when bending over. If you’re at all claustrophobic, the 22-inch or 32- inch would be a better choice as the 18-in may be too restrictive. 

The length of this necklace can be customized to fit your needs which is why you have the options to select your favorite length (16-inch, 18-inch, 22-inch, 32-inch), freshwater pearl quality (AA+, AAA), overtone color (rose, silver, cream) as well as the clasp color (14k yellow gold, 14k white gold, 14k white gold and diamond heart clasp). The necklace are made with Filigree fish hook clasps which seem to be standard for most pearl jewelry. They are easy to use and keep your pearls very secure. I have worn my necklace several times and the necklace stays on until I remove it myself.

Calypso Studios: Necklace Review and Giveaway

Calypso Studios debuted in 2007 with a line of jewelry and accessories made using only the earth’s natural elements: clay, shell and glass. Calypso Studios sent me their beautiful Purple Sea Jewels Necklace. This hand strung, multi-strand necklace features polishes shells, resin, faux pearls and metal accents.

I admit, I was nervous about the fact of not having the option to choose my own necklace. Like most women, I am very particular when it comes to my taste in jewelry. Calypso Studios has such a unique selection of jewelry; they offer affordable jewelry and they definitely have something to suit any woman’s taste. I couldn't be more happy with the necklace that was chosen for me.

 

This long necklace includes a lobster claw clasp which is my favorite type of closure because it is easy to fasten and it is the most secure. There are four strands total which include a combination of deep purple, pastel purple, purplish-pink beads, shells and pearls with shiny silver accents. Purple is a color that compliments nearly every skin tone and the same rings true for me. The Purple Sea Jewels Necklace is such an eye-catcher. I have worn this necklace several times and each time, I am stopped by strangers offering compliments and asking where they can buy one.
