Logitech Webcam Review & Giveaway

Thanks to modern technology, there is a new wave of teaching and learning taking place in classrooms all over the world. The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 stands out against the growing crowd of webcams. Now you can accomplish more with breathtaking Full HD 1080p video recording. The HD Pro Webcam is easy to install, easy to use and captures crisp, vivid, crystal clear videos and photos. 

The C910 is long, slim, and rectangular. It’s sleek design is just under an inch deep. It mounts snugly on the top or side of your monitor, and remains securely in place with the attached adjustable arm.

Setup is very easy. If you already have video-calling software installed (such as Skype) , you simply plug in the USB cable and you are ready to begin using. If you don’t have video software installed, you would download the Vid HD which is included on a CD. This part of the setup only took a few minutes and once it was complete, I was ready to being using.

This webcam records in full HD 1080p and takes 10-megapixel still photos with a state of the art Carl Zeiss optics lens. The resolution can be adjusted down from 1080p to 360p. It features an autofocus lens, a dual built-in microphone for optimal video chatting, premium automatic light correction, plus more!

Since I am a beginner when it comes to webcams, I chose to use automatic settings. This was very quick and simple. Auto-focus was turned on and all I needed to do was press the button to record video, take a picture, or make a call.  Advanced users may prefer to manually control the settings such as Follow My Face, Right Light, Right Sound, and Auto-Focus. Additionally, anyone can modify the advanced settings which include Exposure, Gain, Brightness, Contrast, Color Intensity, and Anti-Flicker.

The HD Pro Camera has excellent sound quality. The dual microphones picked up my  voice perfectly and everyone I have talked to via video chat says they can hear me as clear as if I was standing in the same room as them.

The Logitech webcam controls are very easy to use. With the press of a button, you can easily zoom in or zoom out, and pan in any direction which are convenient for focusing on another person or object. After you’ve recorded a video or taken a photo, you can conveniently upload your video to YouTube and Facebook. The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 included Magix software which allow you to edit your photos and videos before uploading.

I cannot tell you how much I have been enjoying this webcam. The only improvement I would suggest is extending the cord length. It’s generous at 5-foot, but it is a rather tight fit with the way my computer and desk are set up. Other than that, this is the perfect webcam - the quality is superb, the price is right and it has simplified my life in so many ways!

RCA Small Wonder Camcorder-Review

When you want to capture life’s precious moments, there is no better way then with pictures and videos. I’m sure many consumers would agree that cost is a major deciding factor when it comes to purchasing a new video camera. Fortunately, Audiovox understands the need for affordable electronics and offers many great brands such as Energizer, Jensen, Advent and RCA.

My two year old son is growing faster than a weed! I take pictures of him regularly, but have not had the opportunity to record him on video. My biggest concerns were space – there is no extra room to store a video camera, and cost – camcorders are very pricey and hard to come by on a single income. Recently, I was introduced to the RCA EZ1000 Small Wonder Digital Camcorder – a camcorder that would soon solve both of my concerns.

When my Small Wonder EZ1000 arrived, I was surprised at how small it actually was. It measures 0.9 x 2.5 x 4.3 inches and is similar in size to an iPod. Finally, a video camera made for everyday use! I love that it’s lightweight and small enough to carry in my purse, diaper bag or even in my pocket!

The EZ1000 has the ability to take photos as well as record videos with the simple touch of a button. Without the MicroSD Memory Card, you are able to capture up to five minutes of HD Quality video. With the memory card, the EZ1000 will record up to 8 hours in HD quality or 16 hours in web quality.

The RCA EZ1000 Small Wonder Digital Camcorder was quick and easy to set up. It literally took me seconds to install the AAA batteries before I was ready to begin taking photos and videos. I was surprised at how great the quality of the photos were. They actually turned out much better then my $200 digital camera. My photos were clear, focused and high quality.

The video feature is very simple to use. The largest red button located in the center of the device is pressed to start, stop, or resume recording. Because I did not purchase the Micro SD Card, my video time was limited, but I was able to record several minutes. The video option couldn’t be easier. My videos came out sharp, clear and focused. I was able to easily understand the voices/sounds recorded. The only drawback to this Small Wonder is its limited recording time. The amount of time limits the user to just a few minutes of record time. I plan to purchase the Micro SD Card to take full advantage of my new Small Wonder Digital Camcorder. Another nice added feature is the flip out display. I can view the video while I’m recording, or simply flip the screen out, turn the device around and watch myself on screen. This feature would be great for vlogging, video reviews, video diaries and for teenagers ( they love taking pictures and videos of themselves).

The Small Wonder honestly has me wondering- how can such a tiny device do so much? I am very impressed with how easy it is to operate. The front of this Small Wonder has a round button in the center and is surrounded by just four buttons which allow the operator to play/pause, access the menu, delete, and access the camera. I know how easy it is to become overwhelmed with so many buttons/options, which is what makes me appreciate the Small Wonder even more.

Review- New Logitech Fantasy Collection

The new Logitech Fantasy Collection gives us the opportunity to truly express ourselves. For the longest time, the only options for computer mice were black and white. I don’t know about you but my personality isn’t cold or black and certainly isn’t boring or white.

The mouse I have been using for years is quite nice. It’s a laser mouse. It is a corded mouse, but it doesn’t stick like some mice tend to do. My mouse features a scroll button which makes it very easy to navigate my way through the internet. The mouse I have been using for years is the Logitech MX300.

I love everything about my current Logitech mouse. It’s very comfortable in the left hand as well as the right. It is lightweight and very functional. The one thing I would change is the color. The MX300 would be a great mouse for the office or for men, but I wanted something fresh, playful, fun and colorful – something to really describe me. Fortunately, the new Fantasy Collection allows me to do just that.

For my review, Logitech sent me their Red Tendrils Wireless Mouse M310 from the new Fantasy Collection.

The M310 is a wireless mouse which requires one AA battery (included). The battery is inserted into the bottom compartment of the mouse and was very easy to install. The M310 is lightweight and it’s contoured design features soft rubber grips making it comfortable for right hand or left hand use.

The Red Tendrils design is red with hints of shimmer and a beautiful darker red swirl design. I love the design I was sent.  I am so excited to see the new Fantasy Collection. Finally, a mouse full of personality.

The M310 mouse includes a small nano-receiver to help provide a reliable connection. The wireless, USB nano-receiver is always ready for use. Plug it in once and forget about it.

Like my previous Logitech mouse, the M310 also includes a convenient scroll button. I love this feature as it makes navigating through hundreds of websites and blogs much easier.

 

Logitech suggests a 12-month battery life. I have only had this mouse for a couple of weeks now. Even if it doesn’t last quite one year, 1 AA battery is cheap enough to replace.

 

This is my first cordless mouse. I must say, I am much happier with my cordless mouse. It moves very freely and easily and I never have to worry about the cord becoming unplugged (which happens a lot with my cord mouse). Overall, I am very happy with my M310. The mouse is smooth and very comfortable when using for a short time period or even extended periods of time. The cost of this little beauty is just $29.99. This is such a great value for such an incredible mouse. I definitely recommend this mouse!
